A little about me

How it Started
I've always been drawn to technology
but I didn't realize how little I understood it until my grandfather once asked how computers work.
That question sparked the curiosity that's shaped my career ever since.

In 2015
while trying to solve my own problem
— waking up early —I bought an Arduino kit to build a sunrise alarm clock with LEDs.
The first time I saw an LED respond to my code
I was hooked.
Wanting to connect my Arduino projects and control them remotely
I turned to web development
Its accessibility was a big draw
no special tools
just a computer
and an internet connection.

After a couple of years of learning and building personal projects...
I landed my first full-time dev job in 2021.
I've been building software professionally ever since,
while continuing to work on passion projects at home.

While working at Bowen Media one of the largest projects I took on was being the primary developer for the Walk-On's website redesign.
Working with an awesome design team and support from the dev team guaranteed an amazing result. I'm proud to have worked on such a cool project!
Check it out!

Mercury
Monster is a company built on great communication. Naturally, that meant a lot of, well, communicating.
Over time, that translated into a massive number of phone calls, texts, and emails — resulting in a mess of scattered information.
Mercury was the solution.
It built rich contact profiles by using message metadata to combine conversations across channels into a single, centralized thread. Giving us a complete, organized view of every customer interaction.
Mercury allowed users to upload spreadsheets and connect the data to templated emails and messages, making it easy to send both mass marketing emails and transactional messages.
It also tracked message events like delivery and read status, giving the marketing team valuable insights. Helping them make smarter decisions — like figuring out the best time to send an email to boost open rates.
